Barcellona agli inizi del Novecento: <b>ribelle, estrosa, libera, ammalliante<\/b>. Caratteristiche che vennero lasciate libere dopo l\u2019esposizione universale del 1888, \u00e8 allora che Barcellona ebbe quindi una sua seconda rinascita artistica e culturale. Forti conflitti sociali accompagnarono, per\u00f2, questa crescita, culminando nel 1909 nella cosiddetta \u201csettimana tragica\u201d, segnata da violenti scontri tra esercito e popolazione, che decret\u00f2 la fine di questa stagione irripetibile.<br \/>\nLa mostra \u201c<b><i>La rosa di fuoco<\/i><\/b>\u201d, racconta quel periodo di calma apparente, di forti speranze e sogni condivisi, ma anche di lotte sociali difficili da assopire. <b>L\u2019arte come quadri di storia, come passato che pu\u00f2 restare attuale. La Barcellona di Picasso e Gaud\u00ed\u201d <\/i>racconter\u00e0 questi anni fecondi e inquieti e l\u2019effervescente fucina di artisti che li anim\u00f2, lasciando un\u2019impronta profonda nella storia dell\u2019arte del Novecento. Le invenzioni di Llu\u00eds Dom\u00e8nech e soprattutto di <b>Gaud\u00ed, visionario innovatore delle forme architettoniche e del design d\u2019interni<\/b>, si avvicenderanno ai capolavori dei protagonisti della pittura e scultura catalana, come Ramon Casas, Santiago Rusi\u00f1ol, Joaquim Mir, Hermen Anglada Camarasa, Isidre Nonell, Juli Gonz\u00e1lez ed il giovane Picasso, che <b>mettono in scena con stili differenti un\u2019istantanea della vita moderna, dall\u2019atmosfera bohemien dei caff\u00e8 e dei ritrovi notturni, alle effigi di gitane e miserabili <\/b>virate in blu, toccanti icone della solitudine che il progresso si lasciava dietro.<br \/>\nUn caleidoscopio di <b>dipinti, opere grafiche, gioielli, fotografie, sculture, modelli architettonici e teatrali testimonier\u00e0 come tutte le arti siano state percorse dal medesimo momento di rinnovamento<\/b>. Ferrara apre le porte a questo periodo conflittuale grazie alla mostra organizzata dalla Fondazione Ferrara Arte e dalle Gallerie d\u2019Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Ferrara, curata da Tomas Llorens e Boye Llorens. L\u2019esposizione evoca la straordinaria fioritura che, <b>tra la fine dell\u2019Ottocento e l\u2019inizio del Novecento, ha cambiato il volto della citt\u00e0 catalana e ne ha fatto uno dei pi\u00f9 effervescenti centri della cultura europea<\/b>. This name conjures up the political, social and cultural turmoil that ignited Barcelona at the turn of the century, as well as the violent bombings to which the city was subjected.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\">In 1888, it was the great Universal Exhibition that changed the face and history of Barcelona, introducing disruptive ideas of modernity to a capital that was still a backwater by comparison with the advanced heart of Europe. New lifestyles, new wealth and new creative visions went hand in hand with the region\u2019s industrial and economic expansion.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\">During those years, night ran into day in Barcelona and the caf\u00e9s and meeting places along the Ramblas and in the Barri G\u00f3tic throbbed with people and encounters. Poets, intellectuals and painters were based at Els Quatre Gats, streaming out from there to locations far and wide, often ending up in Paris.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\">The cultural and economic growth of the Catalan capital was accompanied by marked tensions nevertheless. In July 1909, during what would come to be known as the \u2018tragic week\u2019, this erupted into a series of violent protests and bloody repression that marked the end of this unique period.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\">These fertile and restless years, and the colourful and full-blooded hot-bed of talent that brought them to life, have given rise to The Rose of Fire, a major event that ushers in the 2015-2016 exhibition season at the Palazzo dei Diamanti, curated by the director of the Ferrarese institution, Maria Luisa Pacelli.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\">The Rose of Fire, or the art and arts of Barcelona from 1888 to 1909, perfectly reflects the cultural mission of the Palazzo dei Diamanti: carefully chosen, in-depth and unusual exhibitions that are anything but banal. The Palazzo\u2019s shows provide Italy with an introduction to extraordinary but rarely exhibited artists (including Reynolds, Chardin and Zurbar\u00e1n, to name but a few) or to key turning-points in the history of art, seen from new perspectives.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\">This exhibition is no different, showing the greats of art history in a more unexpected light. This is indeed true of the young Picasso, who, while still producing his earliest works, would conquer the Catalan and Parisian art scenes in the matter of just a few years, thanks to the striking features of his precocious talent. Artists who are unknown to many, but are still responsible for works of the highest standard, also appear alongside more famous names. Ramon Casas, Santiago Rusi\u00f1ol and Isidre Nonell for example, who, unlike Picasso, returned to their homeland rather than becoming stars on the Parisian stage.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\">This is an exhibition of powerful colours and emotions, moving, not by chance, from the kaleidoscopic palette of the late nineteenth century, to the bright and brilliant colours of the depictions of modern nightlife, finishing with the dominant blue of the exhibition\u2019s final room. Picasso, and other restless spirits like him, chose this colour to express the pain and solitude the triumphant march of progress left in its wake.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\">The Rose of Fire is an exhibition that includes some wonderful paintings but also invites visitors to discover other arts: the architecture of Gaud\u00ed, of course, as well as graphic art, furniture, jewellery, ceramics and sculpture.
