Herman in Ungheria.<\/h3>\n<p>Le opere di Rafael Yossef Herman,\u00a0installazioni fotografiche che rappresentano il mondo notturno ma che possono anche sembrare come alla luce del giorno, sono in mostra al Ludwig Museum, quelle scelte sono principalmente sentieri, radure e campi fioriti. Si possono attraversare le sale, illuminate in maniera differente, notando il confronto tra le immagini che rappresentano le foreste poste in un ambiente buio con quelle che invece mostrano campi fioriti e spazi primaverili collocate in una stanza ben illuminata. Attraverso questa ambientazione lo spettatore \u00e8 messo di fronte ai suoi limiti di percezione entrando in un&#8217;altra realt\u00e0. Le notturne di Herman non eliminano l\u2019orrore della notte ma cercano di costruire una realt\u00e0 alternativa mai vista dall&#8217;occhio umano.<br \/>\nLe rappresentazioni di realt\u00e0 impercettibili esplorano i limiti del surreale e della realt\u00e0 senza tempo. In un certo senso, tendono alla virtualit\u00e0. Le realt\u00e0 virtuali, i giochi e le simulazioni che sono cos\u00ec influenti per il presente, ci permettono di spaziare e cercare in aree sconosciute all&#8217;occhio umano. Gli scatti dei paesaggi notturni di Herman non esisterebbero per il nostro sguardo. Queste strane luci nella notte possono essere cos\u00ec percepite solo dalla tecnologia. Rispetto all&#8217;esperienza della luce reale del giorno, percepiamo queste, come ombre strane, chiari di luna, spettri dei colori e dettagli luccicanti molto differenti dalla luce solare. L\u2019artista, partendo dal mistero della notte, crea una nuova realt\u00e0 sottolineando il fatto che, sebbene il paesaggio notturno ci sia vicino, i suoi dettagli non possono in ogni caso essere osservati. Herman \u00e8 nato nel 1974 a Be&#8217;er Sheva, Israele.<\/strong><br \/>\nVincitore del Prague Photosphere Award nel 2015, Herman ha iniziato a studiare musica classica all&#8217;et\u00e0 di sei anni. Dopo una lunga permanenza a New York, ha studiato alla School of Economics and Management presso l&#8217;Universit\u00e0 di Tel Aviv. Laureatosi nel 2000, si \u00e8 trasferito in America Latina, facendo un lungo viaggio di ricerca in sette paesi: ha fotografato musicisti cubani, il Carnevale di Bahia e gli zapatisti del Messico, lavorando con Amnesty International in Paraguay, poi studiando pittura a Citt\u00e0 del Messico e in Cile e diventando parte di una comune di artisti. Questa formazione combina visione, esperienza metropolitana e incontri con la natura incontaminata. Nel 2003, Herman si trasferisce a Milano, mostrando il progetto \u2019Bereshit- Genesis\u2019 a Palazzo Reale, un progetto creato con un metodo di sua invenzione: la fotografia notturna senza ausili elettronici o manipolazione digitale rivela ci\u00f2 che normalmente non pu\u00f2 essere visto ad occhio nudo. Questa mostra ha lanciato Herman nella scena artistica internazionale. Le sue opere sono in importanti collezioni pubbliche e private, tra cui il Tel Aviv Museum of Art, il Salsali Private Museum di Dubai e il museo nazionale MAXXI, in Italia. La recente mostra personale di Herman nel magnifico padiglione Testaccio del museo MACRO di Roma ha suscitato grande interesse internazionale ed \u00e8 la pi\u00f9 grande mostra dell&#8217;artista prima della personale del Ludwig Museum a Budapest. Herman | Ludwig Museum Museum of Contemporary Art<\/span><\/h1>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #808080;\">From 16 February to 1 April 2018 Ludwig Museum \u2013 Museum of Contemporary Art \u2013 hosts Rafael Y. Herman\u2019s first solo exhibition in Hungary.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">The exhibition presents recent works by Rafael Yossef Herman known for creating his work with the hidden existence of the night\u2019s darkness. By observing this large scale photographic installation, the Israel-born artist\u2019s representation of the nocturnal world may look like daylight to the viewer.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #808080;\"> The works chosen for this exhibition at the Ludwig Museum mainly show pathways or clearings in forests and open fields with flowers. As we walk through the differently lit rooms there is a confrontation between the forest images placed in an intensely dark environment with those capturing flower fields and large spring-like open spaces of nature placed in an overlit room. Forests are usually perceived as dark and shady even on a sunny day while open fields considered light and sunny at all times. By creating this supporting environment the viewer is confronted with his own limitations of perception. The visitor enters this \u2018other reality\u2019 by doing nothing but being present. In this it can be seen that Herman\u2019s nocturnal images are not simply eliminating the \u2018horror\u2019 of the night by creating a daylight-like atmosphere but are constructing an alternative reality that has never been seen by the human eye.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #808080;\"> Herman examines the limits of surreality and timeless reality in these works that encapsulate imperceivable, or imaginary realities. In a sense, he is researching virtuality. Virtual realities, games, and simulations that are so influential to the present allow us to seek into areas unknown to the human eye. The night landscapes shot by Herman do not exist for our eyes. These strange lights of the night normally can only be perceived by technology. Compared to the experience of the real daylight, we perceive odd shadows, the features of moonlight, colour spectrum and shimmering details that differ from sunlight. Herman creates a new reality out of the mystery of the night. He highlights the fact that although the night landscape is close to us, its details cannot be observed. Herman was born in 1974 in Be\u2019er Sheva, Israel<\/strong>. The winner of the Prague Photosphere Award in 2015, Herman began studying classical music at the age of six, becoming a percussionist in Philharmonic orchestras, ensembles and rock bands. Following a long stay in New York City, he studied at the School of Economics and Management at the University of Tel Aviv. Graduating in 2000, he moved to Latin America, taking a long research trip in seven countries: photographing Cuban musicians, the Carnival of Bahia and the Zapatistas in Mexico, working with Amnesty International in Paraguay, then studying painting in Mexico City and Chile and becoming part of an artists\u2019 commune. This visual apprenticeship combines vision, metropolitan experience and encounters with uncontaminated nature. In 2003, Herman moved to Milan, showing the project \u201cBereshit- Genesis\u201d at Palazzo Reale, a project created with a method of his own devising: nocturnal photography without electronic aids or digital manipulation, revealing what cannot normally be seen by the naked eye. This exhibition launched Herman into the international art scene. His works are in prominent public and private collections, including the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, the Salsali Private Museum of Dubai and MAXXI national museum, Italy. Herman\u2019s recent solo exhibition in the magnificent Testaccio pavilion of MACRO museum in Rome claimed great international attention and marked the largest exhibition of the artist prior to the Ludwig Museum solo Exhibition in Budapest.
